Last night saw the crucial top of the table battle between the RAC and The Athenaeum.
If the latter had won they would have been champions, instead it was the RAC that won 4.5-1.5 to become this season’s winners of the Hamilton Russell Cup.
There is one Cup fixture remaining but it cannot affect the top of the table positions.
